# Account access

> Create your account, verify your email, sign in with passkeys, reset your password, accept team invites, and manage account access.

Use this guide when you are joining Babbily for the first time, returning to your account, or helping a teammate get access.

## Create an account

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Babbily">
    Go to Babbily and choose **Sign Up**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a sign-up method">
    Continue with a supported social sign-in option or enter your email address.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Verify your email">
    If Babbily sends a confirmation code, enter the code from your email.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Finish account setup">
    Add your name, confirm the required account details, and complete the onboarding screens. New users may be prompted to add a passkey during setup.

  <Step title="Start your first chat">
    After setup, open a new chat and send your first message.
  </Step>

  Babbily may ask you to confirm that you meet the minimum age requirement before continuing.

## Sign in

Use the same method you used to create your account. If you signed up with a social sign-in option, choose that option again. If you created a password for email sign-in, use your email address and password.

If you have added a passkey, choose **Sign in with passkey** on the web login screen and follow your browser or device prompt.

If Babbily says the account was not found, check that you entered the same email address you used during sign-up. If Babbily says the account already exists, switch to **Log In** instead of **Sign Up**.

## Use passkeys

Passkeys let you sign in without typing your password on supported web browsers and devices. You can use Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, a password manager, or a hardware security key when your browser and device support it.

### Add a passkey

    In **Passkeys**, choose **Add passkey**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Follow the prompt">
    Complete the browser, device, password manager, or security key prompt.

  <Step title="Save the passkey">
    Name the passkey if prompted so you can recognize it later.

New users may also see **Set up passkey** during setup. If you skip it, you can add one later from **Settings > Account**.

### Manage passkeys

Open **Settings > Account** to add another passkey, rename a passkey, or remove a passkey you no longer use.

  Passkeys are currently available on web browsers. Native app passkey support will come later. If **Sign in with passkey** or **Add passkey** is hidden, your current browser, device, or account state may not support passkeys yet.

## Reset your password

If you use email and password sign-in:

    Use the email address on your Babbily account.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check your email">
    Enter the reset code Babbily sends you.

  <Step title="Create a new password">
    Choose a new password and return to sign-in when Babbily confirms the update.

If you signed up with a social sign-in option and did not add a password, continue with that sign-in option or use the account settings flow when available.

## Accept a team invite

Team invitations are sent by email. Open the invitation link from the account you want to use with the team.

    If prompted, sign in. New users may need to finish onboarding before accepting the invite.

    Review the team name, then choose **Accept invitation**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm access">
    After accepting, open Babbily and check **Settings > Team**.
  </Step>

<Tip>
  If you use multiple email addresses, ask the team owner which email they invited before creating a new account.
</Tip>

## Manage account settings

Open **Settings > Account** to review account details, update available profile fields, manage passkeys, request password help, or log out. For data you cannot remove yourself, account deletion requests, or access issues that remain after troubleshooting, contact support.
