# Data controls and privacy FAQ

> Review practical controls for memory, temporary chats, connectors, sharing, files, Library items, and account help.

This FAQ explains the customer-visible controls you can use to manage what you share with Babbily.

Babbily does not use your chats to train generative models by default unless you give explicit permission, and Babbily does not sell your personal information. Babbily may use account information for verification, billing, support, safety, product communications, and aggregated usage insights.

<Warning>
  Do not send passwords, verification codes, private keys, payment card numbers, government identifiers, or confidential files you are not allowed to use in Babbily.
</Warning>

## Quick control map

## FAQ

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What can I control directly?">
    You control what messages you send, what files you attach, what memory you keep, which apps you connect, which connector actions you approve, which chats you share, and which supported Library items you delete.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I review or remove memory?">
    Open **Settings > Memory** to review your Memory Profile and memory citations. You can ask Babbily to forget something, or delete eligible citations from the Memory page.

    Try:

    ```text theme={null}
    Forget that I prefer long answers.
    ```

    Removed memory stops affecting future replies. If you cannot remove something from the UI, contact support.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does Temporary Chat use memory?">
    Temporary Chat is for conversations you do not want saved in normal chat history or Library. Temporary chats are not meant for sharing, do not use or update Babbily memory, and are not used to train Babbily's models.

    Temporary Chat is still a work surface, so avoid entering passwords, private keys, payment details, or other secrets.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What happens when I connect an app?">
    Connectors let Babbily use access you authorize in the connected app. Connected apps may limit what Babbily can see or do based on your role and permissions.

    Some connected-app actions ask for approval before they run. Review sends, updates, billing-related changes, customer-data actions, and workspace changes carefully before approving.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I remove connector access?">
    Use **Settings > Connectors** to manage connected apps where controls are available. If you do not see a disconnect option, revoke access from the connected app's own settings and contact support if you still need help.

    Removing connector access does not delete content inside the connected app.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What can people see when I share a chat?">
    When you make a chat public, anyone with the share link can view the messages plus any attachments, generated media, citations, or other content included in the shared thread. They do not get access to your account, settings, billing, connectors, or memory controls.

    Public shared threads may be discoverable in Google Search Results when public search visibility is enabled. Make a link private when the thread no longer needs to be public.

    Review the thread before sharing it.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I delete files, media, chats, or translations?">
    You can delete supported Library items such as chats, saved media, and translations. Deleting a saved media item removes it from your Library. Deleting a chat removes the chat from your saved thread list.

    Some deletion actions cannot be undone.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Where do I get account or deletion help?">
    In **Settings > Account**, you can update account details, manage passkeys, request password help, or log out. For account deletion or data you cannot remove yourself, contact support. Some information may need to be retained where required for safety review or feedback handling.
