# Privacy and data

> Understand practical ways to control what you share with Babbily.

Babbily works best when you give it useful context. You still control what you type, upload, save to memory, connect, and share.

Babbily does not use your chats to train generative models by default unless you give explicit permission, and Babbily does not sell your personal information. Babbily may use account information for verification, billing, support, safety, product communications, and aggregated usage insights.

## What you control

You choose:

* What messages you send.
* What files you attach.
* What memory you save or delete.
* Which apps you connect.
* Which connector actions you approve.
* Which chats you share.
* Which saved items you delete.

## Keep sensitive information out of chat

Do not enter or upload:

* Passwords.
* API keys.
* Private keys.
* Verification codes.
* Payment card numbers.
* Government identifiers.
* Confidential data you are not allowed to use in Babbily.

<Warning>
  Treat chat, attachments, memory, and connected apps as work surfaces. Only share information you are allowed to process in Babbily.
</Warning>

## Memory controls

Use **Settings > Memory** to review saved context and remove eligible memory citations. You can also tell Babbily what to forget in chat.

## Connector controls

Use **Settings > Connectors** to connect apps and manage connected-app access where controls are available. If you do not see a disconnect option, revoke access from the connected app's own settings and contact support if you still need help.

Some connector actions require your approval before they run.

## Sharing controls

Review a conversation before creating or sending a share link. Anyone with a public share link may be able to view the messages plus any attachments, generated media, citations, or other content included in the shared thread. Public shared threads may also be discoverable in Google Search Results when public search visibility is enabled.

## Account help

If you need help removing data you cannot manage from the product UI, contact support.
