Chat is the center of Babbily. You can ask questions, draft content, analyze files, research topics, create media, and continue work across a thread.

Voice dictation

Prefer speaking to typing? Use voice dictation in chat or Translate when your device supports it.

Choose a model

Use the model picker to choose the model for a chat. Models can differ in:
  • Speed.
  • Reasoning depth.
  • Writing style.
  • Context window size.
  • File support.
  • Tool and media support.
If a tool or file type is hidden, the selected model may not support it. Switch models if you need a capability that is not available.

Write better prompts

Good prompts usually include:
  • The outcome you want.
  • The audience.
  • Any constraints or examples.
  • The format you want back.
  • Whether Babbily should use search, files, memory, or connected apps.
Draft a 6-bullet launch update for the product team. Use a calm, direct tone. Include risks and next steps.

Continue a thread

Follow-up messages can refer to earlier replies, files, and context in the same thread. If a conversation gets long, Babbily tracks the context window and may compact older context so the thread can continue.

Use chat history

Saved chats appear in the sidebar and Library. You can reopen, rename, share, or delete chats from the available thread actions.

When to start a new thread

Start a new thread when:
  • You switch topics.
  • Earlier context is no longer useful.
  • The context indicator is near the limit.
  • You want a cleaner answer without old assumptions.
If Babbily keeps using old context, start a new thread and restate only the details that still matter.
