Everyday terms
Chat
Chat
A conversation with Babbily. Chats can include messages, files, tools, generated media, citations, and follow-up questions.
Model
Model
The AI system selected for a reply. Models can differ in speed, reasoning, file support, media support, context size, and API usage budget impact.
Context window
Context window
The amount of recent conversation, file content, and tool output the selected model can consider for one reply. Long chats can fill the context window, and Babbily may compact older context so the thread can continue.
Library
Library
The place to find saved work such as threads, images, audio, videos, and translations. Available item actions can include reopen, rename, share, download, or delete.
Temporary Chat
Temporary Chat
A chat mode for conversations you do not want saved in normal history or Library. Temporary chats do not use or update Babbily memory, and exiting deletes the temporary conversation.
Personalization
Memory Profile
Memory Profile
A readable view of saved context Babbily may use to personalize future replies. You can review it in Settings > Memory.
Memory citation
Memory citation
A source or note that helps explain saved memory. You can review memory citations from Settings > Memory and remove eligible items.
Saved Prompts
Saved Prompts
Reusable assistants you create for repeatable work. A Saved Prompt can include a name, description, instructions, model choice, and supported allowed capabilities for that model.
Skills
Skills
Reusable instructions that help Babbily follow a workflow. You can turn skills on or off, search verified skills, add markdown skills, and trigger skills with slash commands.
Tools and apps
Tool
Tool
A capability Babbily can use beyond a model-only reply, such as web search, deep research, QR codes, weather, image generation, video generation, or connected-app work.
Auto, Manual, and Off
Auto, Manual, and Off
Tool modes in the composer. Auto lets Babbily choose available tools, Manual lets you pick one, and Off keeps the reply model-only.
Connector
Connector
A connected app Babbily can use after you authorize access, such as Gmail, Google Drive, Slack, GitHub, Notion, Outlook, Stripe, or other supported apps.
Approval-required action
Approval-required action
A connector action that asks for your confirmation before it runs. Review sends, updates, workflow changes, and billing or customer-data actions before approving them.
Account and billing
API usage budget
API usage budget
The monthly plan budget for supported AI work Babbily runs for you. Usage can include chat replies, model work, media generation, translation, and some tool or file work. Some features may use separate limits or availability rules.
