Open Finance

Open Finance from the sidebar, or select Finance from the News topic tabs. Finance includes tabs for:

Review market overviews

Use market overviews when you want a quick read on current market conditions. Market pages can include:
  • A ticker bar with active market rows.
  • Sentiment and market status.
  • Top assets or popular cryptocurrencies.
  • Market summary and source-backed market stories.
  • Sector heatmaps and standout charts.
  • Movers, fixed income, peers, and related market rows when available.
Select a market row or company to open a company page.

Search and save a watchlist

Use the Finance search box to look up stocks, crypto, and other supported market symbols. On company and market rows, use the star button to add or remove a company from your Watchlist. If your watchlist is empty, Babbily shows trending companies as suggestions.

Open company pages

Company pages can include:
  • Current price, daily movement, session timing, and recent update time.
  • Chart ranges such as intraday and longer historical windows.
  • Key stats.
  • Notable movement and source-backed stories.
  • Price movement timeline.
  • Key issues with bullish and bearish views.
  • Company profile, analyst consensus, and peers when available.
Company pages also include tabs for Overview, Predictions, and Historical Data when supported.

Export historical data

Open a company page, then choose Historical Data. Use the interval and range controls to change the table. When rows are available, you can download the data as CSV or PDF. Historical data may be incomplete or temporarily unavailable for some symbols, intervals, or market states.

Explore earnings and prediction markets

Use Earnings to review upcoming or recent company earnings events. Open an event to see available company context, estimates, reported values, and source details. Use Predictions to browse supported prediction-market cards. You can filter or search prediction markets, open a market detail page, and ask questions about the market context.

Ask Finance follow-up questions

Finance pages include a composer for source-aware follow-up chat. Ask about the current market overview, a company page, an earnings event, or a prediction market, and Babbily attaches the page context to the new chat. Examples:

Choose how Finance research runs

Finance threads keep their page context and tool setting through follow-up questions, page reloads, and Retry. If the selected model does not support Finance research, Babbily keeps your model selection and does not expose the unsupported tool. Switch to a supported model when you need source-aware Finance research.
These defaults apply to a chat started from Finance context. They do not turn Finance research on for unrelated chats.

Research filings, periods, and comparisons

Finance research can help with:
  • Live quotes and daily market ranges.
  • Historical company performance and fiscal periods.
  • Earnings context and company filings.
  • Peer and multi-company comparisons.
  • Revenue, reported operating results, growth, margins, and other available financial metrics.
For comparisons, name each company clearly and include the period and metrics you need. Babbily accounts for company-specific fiscal calendars and currencies when the available sources support them.
Finance research checks whether the available evidence covers the companies, periods, and metrics you requested. When a primary filing can fill a gap, Babbily can use it to complete the answer. Citations stay attached to the answer produced from those sources.
Companies do not all report the same line items. If a requested metric is not reported separately and cannot be derived from primary sources, Babbily should explain the limitation instead of inventing a value. Ask for a related reported figure when one is suggested.

When data is unavailable

Finance relies on current market and source data. If a panel is temporarily unavailable:
  • Refresh the page.
  • Try a broader market tab.
  • Search for the company by symbol.
  • Use a precise company name or symbol if the name could refer to more than one issuer.
  • Open cited stories or source links directly.
  • Ask Babbily to explain what data is present and what is missing.
  • Use Retry after a temporary research failure; the Finance context and tool setting remain with the thread.
